Registered Psychologist #3815
Masters of Science Marriage and Family Therapy, 2000
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, 1995
With 19 years of practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist and 9 years experience as a Psychologist, I bring a broad range of experience working with families, couples and individuals. My model of change is rooted in postmodernist theory, a way of thinking that how we see ourselves, molded by the social context and constructs we build around us. What we consider to be truth is relative to our perspective versus a constant across people and time. Structured through this and the lens of attachment theory, narrative and emotion focused therapy, I work with you to realize your “best”…whether that is your best self, best life goal, best relationship, and even best break up.
A safe and empathetic therapeutic environment supports you to examine life experiences, identify and address maladaptive coping skills, build healthy relationships with others, have a stronger sense of self and gain the skills you seek to create productive, meaningful lives. I work with individuals, business partners, romantic partners, families and teens or anyone willing to do the work to create their best life.
Feel free to book a free 20-minute consultation to get to know me and see if I would be a ‘fit’ to companion you along your personal journey.
As well, I supervise masters level and provisional psychologists and hold a certificate in Advanced Clinical Supervision in Psychology through the University of Calgary and the College of Alberta Psychologists.
Direct billing through Blue Cross is available. I am covered through most major benefits programs.
