You are the best person to know what’s right for you. The key is tuning-in to your own innate wisdom and understanding what your mind, body and spirit need to feel healthy.
Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all. What’s balancing for one person may not be right for another. I bring Coaching Experience, Graduate-level Education and extensive Yoga and Mindfulness Training to developing practical strategies for improving the relationship with oneself, staying connected to personal meaning and purpose, and cultivating a sense of calm or steadiness, even when life gets messy. My therapeutic approach is geared toward developing simple techniques for feeling better now, based on mind/body medicine and your unique needs. It’s not the stress per se, it’s how you handle it….and you don’t have to do it alone.
Clients appreciate my enthusiasm and positive energy. I listen without judgement to access what’s most important to you, empowering you to transform your life and improve your relationships. My strengths include developing practical and effective treatment plans, especially for those dealing with anxiety and stress-related conditions, and for those searching for “something more.”
I have advanced training in mindfulness, yoga, and counselling psychology. My approach emphasizes mind-body awareness, connecting to the present moment (however it may look), going in with “gentleness,” and utilizing self-care techniques. I am excited to share the best of what I know about simple, scientifically-proven approaches to increasing health and wellness. I appreciate healthy skepticism and experiential learning.
I’ll encourage curious inquiry, new ways of looking at things and getting in touch with your intuition. We will work collaboratively to ignite your passion and deeper purpose, harnessing what you already know. Together we can add more “tools to your personal-growth toolbox,” building skills for everyday coping, life’s most stressful moments, and everything in-between. My goal is to make the most of our time together so you can enjoy your life to the fullest.
When I’m not working or studying, you can find me chasing after my nieces and nephews or trying to stow my yoga mat in the overhead compartment. I love skiing and travelling, especially when I can bring my little buddy, Scooby the French Bulldog.
As a practicum student, I am able to offer services at a reduced rate – let’s explore and learn together! I am offering reduced-rate individual counselling, registered and drop-in yoga classes and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programming. Stay tuned for additional workshops and retreats.
