Relationships – Grief And Loss – Anxiety
Therapy. Just the word can be intimidating! Let’s instead think of therapy as a conversation with someone who is skillfully invested in seeing you grow. It’s about us putting our heads together and pooling our resources -both my experience as a therapist and your life experience- so that you can leave each session with greater self-compassion, understanding, and hope for your future. I will approach our conversations with compassion, kindness, humour, and a focus on your strengths.
It is my role to help you settle in and feel at ease with me. I am naturally curious and want to really understand you- your relationships, world view, experiences, successes, and desires for growth. How did you become the person in front of me today? I strive to create an atmosphere where you feel safe to share and my ultimate goal is to leave you feeling deeply seen and validated. Each day, I have the joy of working with people just like you, who are dedicated to self-discovery and healing. As I hear your unique story and we build up a sense of comfort with one another, we will find intuitive places to delve in deeper and settle into a pace that feels productive for you.
A Little About Me
I have always had a desire to work with people, and especially have a passion for supporting people experiencing transitions in their lives, including navigating changes in relationships, roles, careers, or health. I’ve worked with clients who have experienced concerns with abuse, addictions, mental health, and parenting. I have also had the privilege of working with children impacted by life transitions, stress, and familial relationships. I worked with families in their homes where I was honored to hear their stories. I’ve come to appreciate how patterns can be passed down through family generations, and at the same time I have been continually inspired by the resiliency, hope, and desire for change that I see everyday. I am driven to explore how we heal and maintain positive relationships, and I continue to develop my skills in helping people reconnect with their motivation to heal and move forward.
